Blanket Making at March GMM

Blanket Making at the March GMM. The Assumption Parish Food Ministry in South Providence is looking for blankets to distribute to folks who receive food from the pantry. Sr. Angela Daniels, who runs the ministry, tells us that a simple blanket can make a world of difference for this population, some of whom have likely been in the foster care system.
We’d like to bring the no-sew blanket-making project we did as part of the Kint-A-Thon to the March GMM as a Done In A Meeting shift. Participants are required to bring their own materials:
- 1 1/2 yard piece of Polar Fleece per blanket, available at any fabric store.
- Sharp scissors
- Ruler
We will begin at 6:00 p.m. with instructions so that we can make the blankets (quietly) during the meeting.
