“Let’s meet, eat, and socialize for a good cause! I and so many others have family, friends, and coworkers that have been affected by breast cancer. In preparation for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Research Foundation is hosting Flames of Hope – A Celebration of Life Festival. The Taste of Hope event on 9/30 at 7 PM at Station Park in Providence will feature “exquisite tasting stations, diverse wine selections, and seasonal sampling of beers following a very special Illuminations of Life Ceremony. The event is open to guest 21 years of age and older, and features unlimited tastings.” I’ll be attending the event and invite all of our League members to come and support the cause–and to do so while wearing pink, of course! Family and friends are also welcome. Tickets can be purchased on the Gloria Gemma website for $40 (deadline is 9/27 at 10 PM).
