We chose windows as the theme for the cookbook because a window allows us to see two very different perspectives: we can look outward to our communities and their diverse populations and cultures abundant with cherished history, and from the same window, we can look inward to the League's extraordinary history of commitment, dedication, and giving.

Windows offers its readers a cornucopia of recipes, Rhode Island history, photographs and delightful tidbits about food and places in the state. There are some 250 kitchen-tested and tasted recipes that are easy to prepare. There are recommendations for wine selections for the main courses and pasta dishes. And there are recipes variations and suggestions for side dish accompaniments included throughout the book. In short, Windows is a reflection of people, of food, and of treasured history.
